A Rare Chance To Possess A Portion Of Macallan And Blake’s Past

One of the most well-known British pop artists, Sir Peter Blake was a key player in the Pop Art Movement. Sir Peter’s artwork has garnered significant recognition and momentum in the art world over the years, and it wasn’t long before he began collaborating with some of the biggest names in music. Blake has collaborated with a number of well-known musicians, including The Beatles, The Who, Eric Clapton, and Oasis, to mention a few.

It makes perfect sense that one of the greatest pop musicians would work with The Macallan, a highly regarded artist in the Scotch whisky industry. In honor of Sir Peter’s 80th birthday in June 2012, Macallan and he collaborated to develop the ‘Blake’. Miniature bottles from the highly sought-after Fine & Rare line of whiskies, each symbolizing a decade of Sir Peter’s life, are included in the exclusive collection.

Each bottle of whisky comes with an artifact that helps to symbolize one of the elements: fire, water, earth, and air, all of which are crucial to the production of whisky. The art director Stuart Newman is responsible for locating these artifacts.

There are just 250 of these hand-crafted collections by Sir Peter Blake available, so this is undoubtedly a rare chance to acquire a portion of Macallan and Blake’s past.
